DATASTAR LTD  is a Saudi-owned and Saudi-based corporation.

It was formed in 1999 following a 2-year study of the satellite telecommunications market by external management consultants.

In January 2000, DATASTAR signed an exclusive Regional Operator’s (RO) agreement to market GlobalWave^® Satellite Communications Technology  from Transcore. Datastar's dedicated space segment covers the market for the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia through INMARSAT satellite INDW 25ºE.

In February 2002, DATASTAR opened it’s doors for commercial operation.

Today, Datastar International Ltd. is a wireless communications service provider for terrestrial, telemetry and vehicle tracking solutions. Over the years of operations, Datastar International Ltd. have deployed over 8,000 units of satellite mobile terminals and actively deploying more solutions and terminals in the region.
