Our Technology

MT2000
Our MT2000 mobile terminal is robust and rugged physically and electrically.

PPC
The Packet Processing Center (PPC) is within the premises of the Network Operations Center (NOC).
it is centrally responsible for authenticating and routing all data packets moving in and out of the DGS-G system. It is also responsible for generating call details records for billing purposes. The PPC servers are fully redundant to provide high availability of the service.

ESE
This facility connects to the Land Earth Station and is in effect the link between INMARSAT’s INDW 25šE satellite and the PPC. The ESE is a single rack system with several industrial computers. Each one of these computers does
a specific function but they are generic enough that they can easily assume the role of the other computer
when a failure occur.

INMARSAT
DATASTAR’s DGS-G implementation utilizes INMARSAT’s INDW 25šE  satellite:
In 2004, INMARSAT reported a record uptime of 99.9968%. This is less than 25 minutes of downtime for the
whole year.

Network Operation Center (NOC)
The NOC has redundant systems, communication links and power systems. All these for a reliability specification of 99.95%.
